galaxy-a6-galaxy-a6-plus-official-2Over a month ago, reports emerged that the Samsung Galaxy A6 will come to the U.S. as a carrier-branded device on AT&T. At the time, we only had the word of Evan Blass, who has a pretty impressive track record in this respect.

While we are yet to see the Galaxy A6 arrive on AT&T, it is now emerging that if indeed the phone does show up stateside, it won’t be limited to AT&T. According to a certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance, the A6 is also set to debut on Sprint.

Blass pointed out that the Galaxy A6 will come to AT&T with model number SM-A600A. As for Sprint, we expect model number SM-A600P, which is what has just passed by the WFA. Although this appearance does confirm the device is coming to Sprint, the exact date of availability remains unknown.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A6 in May 2018 alongside a Plus variant, but the latter is unlikely to come to the U.S. On matters specs, the device has a 5.6-inch HD+ Infinity Display screen, an Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.6GHz, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP sensors on both sides, and a 3000mAh battery.

Although the Galaxy A6 has a superior 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, this may not come to the U.S. In terms of software, there’s Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

In Europe, the Galaxy A6 has a price tag of €309 and in India, the asking price is INR 21,990. If anything, we expect to see a price tag of between $300 and $350 for the A6 in the U.S.
