With Samsung, in the past, not allowing beta testing simultaneously on two models it was rightly doubted if the Galaxy Note 9 will also join the fray of the current One UI Android Pie beta program going on for the Galaxy S9. But a possibility sprung up suddenly in this regard when beta Android 9 update for the Galaxy Note 9 was sighted in Europe and South Korea.

And now Samsung is reportedly testing a beta firmware also in the US, signaling that a beta program might as well be rolled out for the Galaxy Note 9 in the coming days.

Before the beta for the Galaxy S9 began last week the Android Pie builds for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 had already leaked out. With that, now a beta build N960U1UEU1ZRKH for the unlocked Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960UI) has been spotted.

What fuels our hope that Samsung is indeed readying this build for the Galaxy Note 9 beta program is the fact that the South Korean giant has been using the Z letter in its firmware builds meant for the beta program since 2016.

Now that we know the beta build for the US version of the Galaxy Note 9 and the also for the ones available in Europe and South Korea are in development Samsung One UI beta could really be in the offing for the handset and may roll out globally.
If it turns out true, the Note 9 might receive it in the second wave of the Galaxy S9 beta program. Still, nothing is confirmed yet, at least officially. So stay tuned with us for more future updates.
