Verizon Wireless released the second-generation rugged Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 towards the end of last year, coming in as a successor to the DuraForce Pro released in late 2016.
The phone is now receiving its first software update that installs version 1.106VZ. This update comes with December 2018 security patches and adds Android Enterprise Recommended functions.

Those who have been facing issues with originating a conference call, calling a number with over 31 digits, and providing notification when a call is placed out of their service area should get this update because it has fixes for these issues.
When Network settings are reset, the issue where data usage alert is not reset properly has been fixed and so has the occasional crashing of the camera app. Also, the update enhances the touch panel control in a high electronic noise environment.
It’s an OTA update, meaning it will take some time before it arrives on all Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 handsets. With that said, you ought to be patient since the update has just started rolling out, suggesting it could arrive on your device towards the end of the week.
