#1 Xiaomi Redmi 1S - ₹ 5,999

Xiaomi has also earned good brand name among Indian users with Mi3 success. Micromax has been a huge hit among Indian masses and has caused a ripple among top boy’s to reconsider their strategy. Micromax Canvas 2 Colors A120 is finely designed smartphone with 5” HD Display and 1.3GHz Mediatek CPU and 1GB RAM it is a decent performer. The main selling point is its design and colorful options. It also has 8-megapixels rear camera for photo junkie’s.

Only downside of Moto E is it’s 5-megapixel camera which is fixed focus and lack of front camera.

#4 Sony Xperia M - ₹ 9,999



Sony Xperia M is one of the Sony’s most successful handset which changed companies fortune in 2013 and now it’s price is lowered and at just ₹ 9,999 it’s a decent buy for branded product. It comes with 4” Display and Dual Core CPU along with 1GB RAM and 5-megapixels camera.

Sony Xperia M is not the best among four but it’s definitely best branded smartphone besides Moto E.

#5 Micromax Unite2 A106 - ₹ 6,799


Micromax Unite 2 A106 is one of the best Micromax handset of 2014 as it was just a perfect combination and true value for money handset. It feature’s 1.2 GHz Quad Core CPU along with 1GB RAM, Android 4.4, 4.7” Display and comes in attractive design. Moreover it has 5-megapixel + 2-megapixel Rear- Front Camera combo which is great given the price.

There’s nothing against this smartphone as it is among one of the best smartphone under ₹ 7,000 though Xiaomi Redmi 1S has taken the top spot. As its hard to find Redmi 1S and if you are in hurry or tired of waiting go for Unite2 and you won’t be disappointed.

Moto E is certainly very capable and Moto has changed their strategy and now updates devices very fast compared to other manufacturers and price is generally very low compared to Samsung, Sony and HTC. These factors combined makes Moto E one of the best selling smartphones online.

  • Dual Speakers makes loudspeaker performance above par.
  • Low price considering brand value.

Cons

  • Only available on Flipkart.
  • Camera is Fixed Focused.
  • No front camera.

Micromax Canvas Colors A120


Micromax Canvas Colors A120 is sexy and attractive looking handset mainly for youth who loves bright colors that pop out in the crowd. With decent specification Micromax Canvas Colors is one of the best devices under ₹ 10,000 currently.

Pros

  • Choice of changing colors.
  • Fast Quad Core CPU with 1 GB RAM.
  • Good 8-megapixel rear camera.

Cons

  • Battery is just 2000mAh not sufficient for big display for heavy users.
  • Android 4.2 Jellybean is old but Micromax has promised Kitkat release soon.
So these were the best options and we have excluded some brands one of them is Karbonn as their consumer support is very bad and takes very long time to repair the handset within warranty. So their is no advantage in pushing our users in wrong direction.
