LG L Fino the Moto G2 rival launched for ₹ 14,500

with 0 Comment

LG has been launching new devices in India to gain the market share it once lost and it seems the new devices are not too capable enough to restore the lost pride. LG L Bello was launched at ₹ 18,500 with inferior specification for price and now LG L Fino has the same trait.

LG L Fino has a 4.5" True IPS LCD 800x480 pixel resolution display and comes with 1.2GHz Quad Core CPU coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There's a sd card slot for expansion of memory. It supports dual sim and carries the design language as LG G3 with Power and Volume keys on back.

LG L Fino has a BSI 8-megapixels autofocus camera with LED flash and VGA front camera. Its battery is mere 1900mAh and it supports KnockCode. In terms of connectivity it has 3G,2G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It runs on LG customised Android 4.4

The most disappointing thing about this device is its specification for the price. Most companies offer better display, storage and camera alternatives than L Fino. Its completely disappointing though it looks beautiful design wise.

LG L Fino D295 carries MRP of ₹14,500 though it would retails a few hundreds bucks below in online and retail stores.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Official isn't the Uber Premium S5

with 0 Comment

Samsung Galaxy Alpha was hoped as an ultimate flagship which will do wonders for Samsung but as of now it failed to live up to the expectations. Its specification put it in a category between High End and Mid Range devices.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha features similar design language as Samsung Galaxy S5 with the dotted back and same camera placement with flash, the only major difference in design is its side frame which is now completely metal with champered edges like on iPhone 5/5S, Canvas 4 and recently unveiled Mi4.

It has an amazing 4.7" 720p SuperAMOLED touchscreen, Octa-core Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset (1.8GHz x 4 & 1.4GHz x 4) processor and 2 GB RAM. It comes with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with same Touchwiz version as seen on Samsung Galaxy S5.

The camera is 12-megapixels, f/2.2 auto-focus snapper along with similar LED flash as seen on S5. These phone is capable of 4k video recording and front camera is 2.1 megapixels. In terms of connectivity it features Dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, standard microUSB 2.0 port, GPS/GLONASS receiver, 3.5mm audio jack.

It has 32-GB of internal storage and no micro-sd card slot. It also features Heart Rate Sensor and Fingerprint Sensor and is just 115 grams in weight. The battery is 1860 mAh which is disappointing as it won't get you through a day on heavy usage.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha is decent smartphone though it has its limitation like smaller battery. It can only succeed if priced sensibly and we will need to wait for pricing details as they are yet to be disclosed. However if priced under ₹ 30,000 these phone may succeed. More than that it won't be worthy.
