App information cards in Google Now Ever wondered what it would be like to get Google Now like cards from all the applications in your Android device. Well, thanks to the latest Google app update, it will now be possible for a limited set of applications.

Google has announced that it is rolling out an update for the Google app in Play Store, which will bring support for information cards from third-party applications. Initially, the support is limited to 40 Android apps, but the number will increase in the coming months.

“Now cards in the Google app give you relevant information at the right time, without you having to ask for it—whether it’s the score from the Rockets game, your flight status, or the latest story on Greece’s new government. But a lot of useful information lives inside apps on your phone, from your favorite music to last-minute hotel deals to home-buying tips. Starting today, the Google app on Android can help you keep up with all the good stuff in 40 different apps at a glance—it’ll bring you Now cards to help you out with your day-to-day life, giving you information that’s helpful to you, right when you need it,” noted Google in a blog post.

Some of the applications, which will initially provide information cards in Google Now, are The Guardian, Duolingo, Airbnb, Lyft, Mint, Zillow, Waze, Tripadvisor and Coinbase. There are number of Indian Android apps as well, which are adding support for Google Now cards, like The Economic Times, ICICI Bank, BookMyShow, Shaadi, Housing, and ESPNcricinfo. You can check out the full list and the sample cards on Google website.

As you can expect, not all of the app cards will available from the go, as the supported developers are still fine-tuning the apps. According to Google, the third-party app information cards will roll-out over the coming weeks. Just make sure that you have the latest version of Google app as well as your favorite Android apps on your Android device.
