Lava adds new smartphones to iris X1 family

Lava Mobiles on Tuesday announced the launch of two new iris-X1 family smartphones in the country. The new iris X1 Grand and iris X1 Mini run on Android 4.4 KitKat and will be available this February in the country.

According to Lava, the iris X1 Grand features a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, and 8MP rear camera. On the other hand, iris X1 Mini packs a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 5MP primary camera.

“We are overwhelmed with the great response that we have received for our Lava iris X1 over the past 6 months. In an endeavour to continue to give our users the same experience with upgraded features and form factor we have decided to add two new members to the Iris X1 family. Iris X1 grand & Iris X1 mini have been launched considering high consumer demand for this design in 4” and 5” screen size devices,” said Navin Chawla, Vice President & Head Product, Lava International Ltd.

Pricing and Availability

Lava has stated that iris X1 Grand and iris X1 mini will go on sale beginning the first week of February for INR 7,326 and INR 4,348 respectively. The smartphones will be available in both brick-and-mortar as well as online stores.
