Lava launches IRIS Alfa smartphone for INR 6,550

Indian smartphone vendor Lava on Monday unveiled a new budget Android smartphone “IRIS Alfa” in the country. The phone has been priced at INR 6,550 and will be available beginning today in Black and White colour options.

Lava IRIS Alfa features a 5-inch FWVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phone also packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. On the imaging front, Lava has included a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front shooter on the smartphone.

In addition, the IRIS Alfa comes with 2200 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 3G and the usual set of connectivity options.

In terms of software, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 and comes bundled with Truecaller premium, Hungama Music (INR 1000 worth of content free) and Adaptxt keyboard.
