Oppo unveils R1C smartphone in China for 2499 yuan

Oppo on Wednesday introduced a new smartphone in the form of R1C in the Chinese market. Set to go on sale beginning January 20, the phone has been priced at 2,499 yuan ($403) and will be available in White and Blue colour options.

According to Oppo website, the R1C smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. On the imaging front, the phone comes with 13MP f2.0 rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front shooter.

Among other specifications, the phone packs 4G LTE support, Android 4.4-based Color OS 2.0.1, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot. Oppo has also included 2420 mAh battery and dual-SIM support in the smartphone.

There is no word on the availability of R1C outside China, but we hope see the phone in other markets like India soon.
