Samsung to unveil Galaxy S6 in March: Report

with 0 Comment

Samsung logo Looks like Samsung will be introducing its next flagship smartphone just a day after HTC’s flagship announcement. According to a report in The Chosunilbo, the company is planning to unveil the Galaxy S6 on March 2 at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona.

Samsung doesn’t really follow a pattern of places or time for Galaxy S-series phone announcements, but we do have seen a couple of Galaxy S-series phones at the previous MWCs, so it is certainly plausible that S6 might arrive at MWC in March, however until Samsung officially starts sending out the press invites, we can’t be certain.

Not a whole lot is known about the phone so far. According to online reports and rumours, Samsung is going to use its own Exynos processor in the Galaxy S6 and will include a Quad-HD Super AMOLED display. The phone will also reportedly come with 3GB of RAM, touch-based fingerprint sensor, and a chassis made of metal and glass.

We hope to hear more about the phone in the coming weeks.

Galaxy S6 Edge incoming?

In related news, Samsung is also rumoured to be working on a curved-screen version of Galaxy S6 like Note Edge. According to reports, this phone will have curved edges on both sides of the display and 4GB of RAM. Other details are unclear at the moment, but if Note Edge launch is any indication, rest of the specifications of the Galaxy S6 Edge will be similar to Galaxy S6.
