Videocon launches two new budget Android phones in India

Videocon Z50Q Star Indian smartphone vendor Videocon Mobile Phones on Thursday introduced two new smartphones in the country. Dubbed as Videocon Z40Q Star and Z50Q Star, the smartphones have been priced at INR 4,499 and INR 5,999 respectively and will go on sale in the coming days.


“In line up to the ongoing Digital Revolution in the country, Videocon is determined to introduce consumer-focused devices which are high on style and cost-effectiveness. With our superb smartphone range, we ensure that the varied needs of new-age smartphone users are being fulfilled indigenously,” said Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones, on the launch of the new phones.


Coming to the specifics, both Videocon smartphones run on Android 4.4 KitKat and are powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phones also pack 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, and 3G support.


Among other specifications, the Videocon Z40Q Star comes with 4-inch WVGA display, VGA front shooter, 1500 mAh battery, and 512MB of RAM. Z50Q Star, on the other hand, includes 5-inch FWVGA display, 2000 mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, and 2MP front camera.


The company has also pre-loaded V-safe app ( a safety tool designed for women, Elderly people & children for security purpose in any Emergency or Panic situations) and V-secure (mobile security app to protect the device against malware and malicious apps) application on the smartphones.Videocon Z40Q Star
