Micromax has announced that it has started rolling out Android 5.0 update for its Canvas Xpress A99 smartphone in the Indian market. The update is now available over-the-air and you will automatically get a notification on your phone. To manually look for the update, go to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

Riding on the same thought, we are today rolling out the Android L update with Canvas Xpress, making the overall user experience more efficient and seamless, Micromax thrives on consumer centricity and that is clearly visible through the company’s continued growth trajectory and high recall in consumer mind share,” stated a company spokesperson in a pres note.

In addition to Canvas Xperss, Micromax has also revealed that it will roll-out Android 5.0 for select other Canvas-series smartphones, but did not specify their names. Micromax is the second smartphone vendor from India to release the Android 5.0 update for one or more of its phones.
