It has only been seven months since Samsung launched their high-end first-generation Galaxy Tab S tablets, namely the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5. According to a report on SamMobile, Samsung has already started working on the second-generation Galaxy Tab S tablets to be launched by mid-2015. The next-gen Galaxy Tab S tablets will sport the model numbers – SM-T710 and SM-T810 (current-gen tablets are SM-T700 and SM-T800).

To remind you, the existing Galaxy Tab S tablets flaunt top-of-the-line features like Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 2560x1600p. They are powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5420 1.3GHz octa-core processor and come with specs like 3GB of RAM, 4G LTE support, 16/ 32GB internal storage which can be expanded using microSD cards of upto 128GB, 8MP rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash and a 2.1MP front-facing shooter. Both the tablets run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Touchwiz UI on top.

The new tablets are expected to keep most of the features intact from the current tablets, however we can expect a more mighty processor to power the high resolution Super AMOLED display. We could also see the new Galaxy Tab S Tablets running on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box along with a redesigned Samsung Touchwiz UI.
