Sony introduces Xperia E4g with 4G LTE support

with 0 Comment

Sony Xperia E4g Within a fortnight of introducing the Xperia E4, Sony has unveiled the 4G LTE variant of the smartphone – Xperia E4g. The new smartphone will go on sale in UK around April for GBP 129, followed by other markets.

“Xperia E4 set out to bring many of the premium features people expect of Sony to lower-tier devices; Xperia E4g brings that same quality and ease of use – but with super-fast 4G LTE connectivity. With simple set-up and unrivalled 2 day battery life, we believe both models represent value for those who want premium Sony technology and experiences often only associated with high-end devices,” said Tony McNulty, Vice President, Value Category Business Management at Sony Mobile Communications.

The exact specifications of the phone are unconfirmed at this point, but as per the press release issued by Sony Mobile, the E4g is powered by an unspecified 1.5GHz quad-core processor instead of the 1.3GHz MediaTek processor present in E4 and packs a 2300 mAh battery. We expect other specs to be same as the E4, which include 5-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM. 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front shooter.

We will update the report as soon as we get a confirmation on the specifications.
