Sony unveils entry-level Xperia E4 smartphone

Sony Xperia E4 Sony has unveiled its first smartphone of 2015 and it is no flagship or high-end device, but an affordable smartphone, targeted to the mass market. Part of the company’s entry-level E-series, the new Sony Xperia E4 sports a 5-inch qHD (960x540p) display.


Other specifications of the smartphone include 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB of RAM. 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. On the imaging front, the phone comes with 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front shooter.


The E4 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and packs the company’s battery enhancement feature Stamina mode. The company claims that thanks to Stamina mode in Xperia E4, the smartphone will be able to offer two-days of usage.


There is no word on pricing at this point, but the phone is unlikely to cost more than $150-170.
