Samsung to pre-install select Microsoft apps on Galaxy devices

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Samsung has announced that it has partnered with Microsoft to bring Microsoft mobile productivity services to its devices.


The Korean manufacturer will pre-load OneNote, OneDrive, and Skype on the new Galaxy S6 and S6 edges smartphones, while the Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and Skype will be pre-installed on select Samsung Android tablets including the recently unveiled Galaxy Tab A.


In addition, Samsung has revealed that Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will get 100GB of free cloud storage for two years through Microsoft OneDrive.


“Our goal is to meet the ever-evolving needs of both consumers and business customers and give them more power to discover new mobile experiences. We believe our suite of premium mobile products coupled with Microsoft’s productivity services will offer users the mobility they need in both their personal and business life.” said SangChul Lee, executive vice president of the Strategic Marketing Office, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics.
