Samsung releases Android 5.1.1 update for T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Samsung just released the Android 5.1.1 update for T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and S6 edge — a surprising move considering it’s the international models that receive the latest Android OS update first from the company, before the US variants, a trend we have seen many times earlier since the oldest Galaxy S set, or the legendary Galaxy S2. Anyway, being the latest and greatest offering right now from Samsung, both S6 and S6 Edge were expected to receive the Android 5.1.1 update before other Samsung devices, including Galaxy Note 4, which should be next in line for 5.1.1.

The build no. of Android 5.1.1 update for T-Mobile Galaxy S6 is G920TUVU2COF6 while that of T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge is G925TUVU2COF6 — exact same build no. it is save for model no., yes! We expect the Android 5.1.1 OTA to show up on T-Mobile S6 sets pretty soon, now that a full firmware has already leaked out.

Btw, Samsung is not the first OEM to release the Android 5.1.1 update, as LG has already updated its Sprint G Flex 2 while Motorola has already given the 5.1.1 treatment to its Moto X 2014.
