Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone vendor has released the changelog for its upcoming MIUI 8 beta update which will bump the version number to 7.7.13 update.
Now, we know most of you are eagerly waiting for the MIUI 9 update. But, for those who still care, the MIUI 8 7.7.13 beta update will bring some performance improvements.
Firstly, the code for lock screen, status bar, and notification bar has been changed. To recall, the previous update also included a similar change.

Then, the speed of opening a folder from the home screen has been improved. In addition, the update will also bring fixes to several bugs.
Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the list of phones that will receive this update. So, we are assuming that all the phones that received the previous MIUI 8 beta update will also receive this upcoming update.
Those who are waiting for the MIUI 9 update (and don’t own a Xiaomi Mi 6), may have to wait a little long. A new report suggests that the update will be rolled out to Mi 6 first with other phones receiving support later.
