The wait is finally over. Ending all speculations behind the delay in shipments of Essential Phone, the company is now ready to commence dispatching the device to pre-registered customers.

The brainchild of Andy Rubin, Essential Phone was officially launched in May creating ripples across the Android eco-system, not merely due to its bezel-less design but also owing to some rocking features ingrained in it.

However, the company initially failed to keep its word of shipping the phone within 30 days of its launch. This, as well as some defections of top officials from the company, led to speculations about Essential landing itself in rough water and the hazy future of its first Phone. All those definitely ends now.

One of the main highlights of the phone is its rear dual camera setup of 13MP+13MP resolution which the company claims to be “world’s thinnest dual camera system built for a phone.” There’s an 8MP f/2.20 camera at the front for selfies with the same video recording capabilities as the rear camera. It packs a 3,040mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support which will provide five hours of usage just on five minutes of charging. Infact, the Essential Phone is currently the fastest charging phone in the world. Finally, the phone ships with stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
