Android 8.0 Oreo is officially out now. While it may take some time for the update to reach non-Pixel or non-Nexus devices, you sure want to know if your smartphone will ever get an upgrade to the latest Android operating system.
Well, if you are a Huawei Honor 8 owner, the answer is yes. We say this as the company’s support team has confirmed to one of our readers that the Honor 8 will “surely get new updates soon — including the Android 8.0 Oreo.”

That being said, we are not exactly sure when the update will be rolled out to the device. It will, of course, take some time (a few months) for the company to customize Oreo for the Honor 8. Q1 2018 seems to be a good bet if we were to add.
Android 8.0 Oreo brings a truckload of new features with it. Picture in Picture (PiP) mode, Notification Dots and Notification Channels, enhanced WebView, improved battery life, and Autofill are few a features to name. You can check out all the changes that Oreo brings along with it here.
