New updates are available for Huawei’s Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus and the Nova 2S and like recent updates to other Huawei phones, this update brings GPU Turbo gaming technology to the trio alongside the latest Android security patch for the month of September 2018, but of course, there’s more.
The Nova 2 and 2 Plus update has EMUI software version 8.0.0.350, which means it’s based on Android 8.0 Oreo, up from version 8.0.0.339. Although the changelog is in Chinese, we can still establish that the update brings support for GPU Turbo gaming technology alongside the latest Android security patch for the month of September 2018.

In the update, WeChat users will also be able to authorize payments using their fingerprints, but this requires that you update the app to at least version 6.7.2 and above.
As for the Nova 2S, the EMUI update is arriving as version 8.0.0.195 and like the other two, it’s based on Android 8.0 Oreo, installs the latest Android security patch, adds fingerprint payments to WeChat version 6.7.2 and above, but nowhere in the changelog has Huawei mentioned a thing regarding GPU Turbo technology.

The updates are available over the air, meaning it will take several days before all Nova 2, Nova 2 Plus and Nova 2S users receive the download notification, so be patient.
