Xiaomi invites beta testers for Redmi 6 and 6A

Mi fan? Cool. Own a Redmi 6 or Redmi 6A? Even better.

Word is out that Xiaomi is looking for MIUI 10 beta testers for its recently launched Redmi 6 series. According to the an MIUI thread, testers for both Global and China version are wanted. This is a special development, as it indicates that Redmi 6 owners can hope for a stable version sooner than expected.

As Xiaomi has invited users to participate, and given the number of handsets they’ve sold, it is safe to say that wanna-be testers are flocking to fill up the seats. To be one of the chosen few is surely going to be a coveted perk!

If you, too, want to be a part of this testing community, then carefully read through the recruiting requirements on this MIUI thread (link). Though the testing program is open to all regions, prospective testers must know how to unlock the bootloader and flash MIUI ROMs.

Plus, the application deadline cuts on 24th October (Beijing Time) and the selected members will be sent a PM 6 days later, on the 31st.

To apply, here is what you need to do:

1. Make sure you have the QQ app installed.
2. Download and install the Xiaomi MIUI Forum app
3. Open the Xiaomi MIUI Forum app.
4. On its homepage, tap on the Recruitment tab.
5. Give Xiaomi all the details it asks for.
6. Tap the Submit button.

Done. If you are selected, Xiaomi’s software team will nofity you.
