Google Duplex first appeared at the I/O 2018 tech show and later started rolling out to some Google Pixel users in the U.S. towards the end of last year. As of this writing, the Duplex technology is now rolling out to more Pixel devices in 43 U.S. states.
To recall, Google Duplex technology is baked right into the Google Assistant to help you call different services and make reservations. At the initial rollout, the service was only limited to select cities, but it’s now available across the country.
Here’s the list of states where Duplex is already available:

While we still expect that Google Duplex will at some point make it to other non-Google devices, the latest rollout is still limited to the search giant’s devices. Also, only those in the U.S. can enjoy the services of Duplex and Google hasn’t said anything regarding global availability.
According to Google, you only need a few seconds to make a reservation using Duplex. Simply ask the Assistant to “book a table for four people at [restaurant name] tomorrow night” and the Assistant will do the rest. Once a reservation is made, the Assistant will notify you and even create a calendar invite so you never forget about it.
