Android 9 Pie update for Samsung Galaxy A8 has arrived in Canada. The update first rolled out to the A8 in mid-March, but this was for model SM-A530F.
We already knew that A8 Pie update would arrive this week in Canada. Today, the OTA is arriving for model SM-A530W as version A530WVLU4CSCA. The software is targeting multiple variants in the country for Koodo Mobile, Bell Mobile, SaskTel, Rogers, Fido Mobile, and Wind Mobile, among others.
In addition to Pie, the update also brings Samsung’s One UI on top of stock Android, tagging along some cool features like adaptive brightness, one-handed usage, system-wide night theme, changes to the default apps icons, and so on.
On matters security, the update improves the security patch level to March 2019, which isn’t the latest version available but still okay for most people.
