Nokia Android phones launched in Indonesia, Xiaomi Mi A1 incoming

HMD Global has released three Nokia Android smartphones – Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in Indonesia. The Nokia 3 will be the first model to go on sale and has been priced at Rp 1,899,000 ($143). The prices of Nokia 5 and 6 are a mystery at this point and will be revealed closer to their October availability.

These launches mark the return of Nokia brand to the Indonesian market and HMD Global has tied up with PT Teletama Artha Mandiri and PT Prima Sentral Distribusi to distribute the phones in the country.

The Nokia smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat and will be receiving the Oreo update in the coming months. You can check out the full set of specifications at the end of the report.

Xiaomi Mi A1 launch

In more Indonesian Android news, Xiaomi is getting ready to introduce its first Android One smartphone, Mi A1,  in the country soon. According to Jakarta Post, the phone will be launched on September 20. The Mi A1 has only been released in the Indian market so far.

There is no word on the pricing at this point.
