Samsung has been rolling out the Android 9 Pie update for its Galaxy S8 and Note 8 lineup of smartphones this month and while the update for Android 9 Pie on the Galaxy Note 8 was available in some countries early this month, other regions weren’t as lucky.
Fortunately, Galaxy Note 8 users in European and Asian regions can now rejoice since the One UI update alongside Android 9 Pie is finally rolling out in almost all countries in Europe and Asia.
The Galaxy Note 8 with the model number SM-N950F seems to be receiving the Pie goodness be it an unlocked variant or a carrier locked variant of the device.
The stable version of Android 9 Pie should be available via an OTA update for Galaxy Note 8 users in most countries in Europe and Asia.
It seems the update was made available today itself and Galaxy Note 8 users should begin receiving the update notification on their devices.
In case you’re excited to check out the new One UI update on your Galaxy Note 8 and haven’t received the update notification yet, then simply head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update is available, tap on Download and then tap on Install.
The One UI update for the Galaxy Note 8 brings along all the new features from the One UI update for the S9 devices. The update also comes with the February security patch which is pretty good and weighs in around 1.8GB; however, the update size may vary depending on your region.
