HTC upgrades Blinkfeed to Sense Home in Google Play; Themes and Sense Home widget in tow

with 0 Comment

HTC Sense Home In an effort to bring the Sense 7 elements to older HTC devices, the company has upgraded the Blinkfeed app in Google Play to a full-fledged HTC Sense Home launcher. The new launcher not only includes Blinkfeed, but also packs the HTC Themes and Sense Home widget, both of which were introduced in Sense 7.

“HTC Sense Home combines the power of BlinkFeed, HTC Themes, and the Sense Home widget to create a fully customizable and deeply personal experience. Apps and content appear automatically when you need them. The Themes app makes it easy to create a custom look and feel for your phone in just a few steps. And over time, HTC Sense Home becomes smarter as you use it,” wrote HTC in the Google Play description.

As you can expect, not all features of the Sense Home launcher will be available to older devices and only if your HTC smartphone gets full Sense 7 update, you can expect to completely enjoy the Sense Home launcher. User reports confirm that the launcher is working nicely with One M8 and M7 smartphones, but the broader compatibility details are unclear at this point. If the HTC Sense Home works on your HTC smartphone, do let us know in comments.

In related news, HTC has also released the updated version of HTC Lock Screen in Google Play. It brings a number of improvements including material design notifications.
