Asus ZenFone 4 Max update rolling out with minor bug fixes and improved WiFi hotspot performance

Asus is pushing a new software update to its ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL) only a few days post its official launch.

In case you are wondering, yes, this is the first update that smartphone has received since its launch. Arriving with the software version 14.2016.1705.146, the update brings with it fixes to some minor issues.

The Wi-Fi hotspot performance has also been improved with the new update. Asus has started rolling out the update over-the-air (OTA) already.

In case you own the handset and haven’t received the update just yet, fret not. It usually takes a week or two for the company to roll out the update to all the devices.

With that being said, you can head to Settings > About > System Updates to check for the update manually so that you don’t have to wait for it to reach your device.  

Asus ZenFone 4 Max features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset. It packs 4GB of RAM, either 32GB/64GB of onboard storage along with the microSD card slot which allows you to expand the storage further.

There’s a 13MP dual camera setup on the back and an 8MP front-facing camera to take care of selfies. The handset runs Android 7.0 out-of-the-box and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
