How to Root Your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082) Quick and Easy

Let me show you how to root your Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 easily and quickly in few easy steps

Things required:

1. Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082(50% at least)
2. A windows pc
3. Software and Cwm file
4. Data cable
5. A bit of time and patience

Step 1

Download the following files

• Samsung USB driver.
• I9082 Clockworkmod Recovery.
• ODIN flasher

Step 2

Run samsung usb drivers and install them first on your pc.
Next extract the ODIN flasher and run odin.exe also  extract the CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.zip (once) to get a file ending with .tar

Step 3

Turn off them phone, wait for 5 sec. Now press & hold Volume Down + Power + Home button together until GT-I9082 logo appears on the screen, when you see that logo, press the Volume UP button once to enter into Galaxy Grand Duos Download mode.

Step 4

Now connect the phone to computer via original USB cable while it’s in download mode . Wait until ODIN detects the device & the ID:COM box in ODIN turn blue. Also an Added message will appear in white message box just bellow the ID:COM box. Note : If added message doesn’t appear, try different ports.

Step 5

In ODIN box first of all tick mark the Two boxed saying Auto reboot & F.Reset Time & leave all other unchecked.

Step 6

Now click on the PDA button on odin & a popup will appear, so browse & select the extracted tar file (CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 ) not the downloaded zip archive.

Step 7

Hit start and when you see the pass box in progress bar of odin and your phone restart you will have CWM recovery

Step 8

Download and put in your phone external sd caard not internal :-

• UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip  [Android 4.2.2 user]
• Update-SuperSU-V1.0.zip [Android 4.1.2 user]

Step 9

Switch off the phone hold Volume UP + Power + Home and you will enter recovery.

[Use volume keys to go up and down and Power key to select]

Step 10

The first menu which comes when you open CWM recovery mode is called main menu, there scroll to the option install zip from sdcard & press power key to select it. Then select choose zip from sdcard a popup will appear from there browse select the SuperSU.zip which you placed earlier on your sdcard & then click YES to start the flashing procedure.

Step 11

It will take hardly few minutes to complete rooting Samsung galaxy grand duos, then you will be back to main menu. Now from main menu select reboot system now. It will take few seconds to re start the Galaxy grand duos in normal mode & you will have a rooted Duos I9082
