Well, the day has come! Nubia has finally unveiled the Nubia Z17 officially in an event at Beijing National Aquatics Center thereby putting a halt to never-ending rumors. And, guess what? Most of the earlier rumors are indeed true.

The ZTE Nubia Z17 packs whopping 8GB of RAM which makes it the world’s second phone to do so after the Asus ZenFone AR. Unsurprisingly, at the heart of the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Of course, there will be various other aspects that come into play (such as software) but, 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 835 chipset together should make for fluid performance be it gaming or day-to-day usage. The smartphone will also be available in other memory options with up to 128GB UFS 2.1 ready storage as rumored.

There’s a 23MP + 12MP dual camera at the back with f/1.8 aperture. The dual camera supports up to 2x zoom and up to 10x Dynamic zoom. The company promises that the camera will be able to focus on the subject within 0.03s.

The entire package is backed by a 3,200mAh battery which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology to provide faster charging speeds. The company claims that charging your phone for 25-minutes will provide up to a day’s worth of juice.

There’s also NeoPower 3.0 battery saver mode which intelligently freezes background activity and other functions to provide more battery life which has been the major pain point of smartphone users.

The Nubia Z17 comes in five different colors: Black and Gold, Black, Gold, Red, and Blue.
