Motorola’s mid-range device, the Moto Z2 Play, made its debut recently followed by its release in US, China, and India. It has also gone up for pre-order in the UK. In the US, up till now the smartphone was available for purchase only at Verizon. This no longer is the case now with Amazon selling the unlocked variant of the Moto Z2 Play.

However, there are a few points to be considered before going for the Amazon listed Dark Gray colored Moto Z2 Play. First, the device listed on the e-commerce site is not being officially sold by Motorola buy though a third-party seller. Second, the price of the Moto Z2 Play on Amazon is $599. This is $100 more than the $499 price tag Motorola will attach to it when it starts selling the device officially in the US later this summer.

That’s not all. Another important point to be noted is that the unlocked Moto Z2 Play on Amazon is GSM/LTE only. Thus, it will be compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T carriers but will not work on Sprint, Verizon, or US Cellular.

If these points do not bother you and you are fine with them, you can go ahead and order the Motorola device. But you will need to hurry as the stocks are limited.

Moto Z2 Play, successor to Moto Z Play, sports 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 placed on top. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 626 processor clocked at 2.2GHz which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on board storage.
