The HTC U11 Ultra is currently receiving a new software update, a minor one to be exact. This latest update will improve the security of the device and install a newer Android security patch.
There aren’t any new features in this update, except for the added security measures. That too, it’s the older security patch. We have entered December now, and HTC is just giving this phone the October Android security patch.

Apart from that, you will probably get the usual dose of under the hood improvements and bug fixes. The software version for this update is 1.64.401.10 and it is being seeded over-the-air. You can also check for the update manually via the Settings app.
HTC recently started rolling out the Android Oreo update for the U11 Life and the U11. The U11 Life got the update just yesterday in the US, while the U11 received it last week in Europe. The U Ultra will also be upgraded to Android Oreo sometime this month.
