ARCore is a software-based platform by Google that’s meant to bring augmented reality to Android. So far, the platform is already supported by several smartphones and today, the list has grown even bigger with the addition of more devices.
Samsung’s latest Galaxy Note 9 is high on the list and so is the Galaxy Tab S4, two devices that have been around for less than a month. All three members of the Sony Xperia XZ2 family are also joining the party alongside HMD Global’s Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Apparently, your Sony Xperia XZ2 smartphone must have the latest Android security patch for the month of August 2018 in order to qualify, but the rest are all good.
