It was widely expected that Samsung would launch the Galaxy Tab S4 alongside the Galaxy Note 9 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York City, but the Korean company pulled a surprise on everyone by unveiling the device weeks earlier, meaning it started selling ahead of its counterpart.

Galaxy Tab S4 Android Pie update
Expected release date: Q2 2019
Being Samsung’s latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S4 will definitely be updated to Android Pie. What remains to be seen is when this OS will arrive on the slate. Going by what happened with last year’s Galaxy Tab S3 with respect to Oreo updates, it’s likely that the Tab S4 Pie update will arrive in Q2 2019.
On the brighter side, the fact that the Tab S4 has Project Treble on board could speed things up and see Pie arrive in Q1 2019. Only time will tell.
