Verizon is rolling out the first software update to the Motorola Moto E5 Play and with it comes a new Android security patch for the month of July 2018.
The new update comes as software version ODPS27.91-24-2-3 and besides bumping the security patch level, Moto E5 Play users will also enjoy enhancements to the system stability and general improvements to the software.

It’s an OTA update that has just started rolling out, meaning it will be days or even a week before every Moto E5 Play unit gets the download notification. If you can’t wait, now might be the perfect time to check the update via the Settings menu.
