Xiaomi has a new smartphone brand in India known as Poco and its first smartphone is the Poco F1, which has just been unveiled in the country.
In addition to becoming the first and only (so far) Snapdragon 845 powered smartphone priced at just INR 20,999, the Poco F1 will also be among the first non-Google devices to receive the update to Android 9 Pie.
At the launch event, the company revealed that the Poco F1 will receive Android Pie update in Q4 2018, however, what remains unclear is whether this will be a beta or stable update. Still, we expect Xiaomi to roll out a beta version to the device first before coming in with the stable version as it has become a tradition, probably towards the end of Q4 2018.

It would have been even better if the device came pre-installed with Pie, especially now that Xiaomi has had access to the software for a while now. Still, most people won’t mind a Q4 update from a company that timely software updates have traditionally been its weakness.
