Samsung has been toying around with its Android Pie update roadmap. When this roadmap was first published, the Galaxy A6 was slated to receive Android 9 Pie update in April 2019.
In a more recent update to the roadmap that included Android Pie release date for the upcoming Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, the Galaxy A6 got a new release date that preponed the rollout to March 2019.
Now, to add more weight to the possibilities of the new date, a Geekbench listing of a Samsung Galaxy A6 handset with model number SM-A600N has popped up with the device running Android Pie.
This doesn’t mean the OS is ready for rollout, but it does imply Samsung is at least running internal tests ahead of official release in March or even April 2019. We don’t know whether the company will also enroll the A6 into the beta program before rolling out the stable version, but if history is anything to go by, this is unlikely to be the case.
Android Pie update is expected to come with One UI on top, tagging along new navigation tools, improved settings, adaptive battery, adaptive brightness, and plenty of other stuff.
