Huawei MRD has leaked on TENAA a while ago, and it was suspected that it would be an Android Go device, probably running Android Oreo (or Android Pie).

Today, we can almost confirm that the device will feature Android Pie Go Edition, as its Geekbench listing reveals.

Running Android 9 on Geekbench, the device scored 842 points in the single-core tests and 2443 points under the multi-core tests. That’s not bad for an Android Go device that may cost well under $100, right?

The Geekbench page of the Huawei MRD, model LX1 in this case, also reveals that the device is powered by a quad-core processor, codenamed ARM MT6761V/WBB, which should be the MediaTek’s 6761 processor clocked at 2.0GHz — the same as Vivo Y18i.

The new Android Go device from Huawei clearly packs in lowly specs, which also includes a 2GB RAM and a single camera at the back, all of which points to it being an Android Go device.

Huawei recently started pushing out Android Pie for the Honor 7X, which is incredible news because not many budget devices see two rounds of major Android OS updates — so that should cheer up a lot of Honor fans. The 7X’s successor in Honor 8X has also entered the beta testing for Android Pie in India.
