The weekly MIUI update for global beta users is ready to roll out. This week’s update comes as MIUI 10 9.1.17, up from version 9.1.10 released late last week.
Many MIUI beta testers have been vocal about the lack of new features and basically worthy additions to each weekly beta update. But truth be told, we can’t get a new feature with every update since some are simply meant to fix bugs, optimize performance and stability of the system.

With MIUI 10 beta 9.1.17, you get a mixed bag of new stuff, optimizations, and bug fixes as well. Although we only have a changelog preview for now, it does shed some light on what is coming as part of the new update.
Users of the Pocophone F1 whose security app has constantly been showing notifications now have a fix in this update. The OTA also fixes weather info display error in some languages, video preview size didn’t match the actual video size and incorrect deceleration prompt.
In the same update, Xiaomi also notes that the UI of the status bar has been redesigned for better use and for those devices that didn’t get January 2019 security patch with MIUI 10 9.1.10, this should be the version to bring it aboard your phone.
At the moment, we don’t have the download links to MIUI 10 9.1.17, but Xiaomi should have them ready by the weekend, which is also when we get hold of the full changelog.
