Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently launched its first smartphone since independence, the Redmi Note 7, and even before the dust settled, talks of the superior Redmi Note 7 Pro begun surfacing.
Today, we have even more details about the Note 7 Pro, including the specs and even pricing. According to a couple of posts made on China’s Weibo, the Pro variant will ship with a superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, the first of its kind in a Redmi phone.

In fact, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, considering its expected launch in February 2019, should be among the first devices to come powered by this processor. At least 3GB RAM and 32GB storage are expected, although we won’t be surprised if a variant with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is unveiled.
The Redmi Note 7 has a massive 48MP lens on the back. The Note 7 Pro will keep the same megapixel count, however, it ditches the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor in favor of a better Sony IMX586 sensor.
It’s possible that the 5MP lens will keep its place as the depth-sensing unit on the Note 7 Pro, but we are likely to see more megapixel count for the selfie camera compared to the Note 7. Given its rumored February launch, more info about this device should keep showing up in the coming days.
In China, the Note 7 Pro will reportedly go for CNY 1,499, which converts to about $222 or INR 15,805.
