Samsung Galaxy A50 has been around since last month following its launch the month before, but so far, availability has been mostly in India, but not for long.
According to a certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance, the Galaxy A50 is coming to the U.S. as an unlocked model. The phone has been cleared with model number SM-A505U, all but confirming its arrival on U.S. soil.
We don’t have a specific date, but this listing suggests the release isn’t too far away, probably in the next few weeks.
To recall, the Galaxy A50 ships with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with an Infinity U display screen (waterdrop notch), Exynos 9610 processor, 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB expandable storage, a tri-lens main camera with 25MP + 8MP (ultrawide) + 5MP (depth sensor), and a 25MP front camera.
Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s One UI runs the show out of the box and to keep it alive is a solid 4000mAh battery unit that’s charged via a USB-C port with support for 15W fast battery charging technology. Like the high-end S10 and S10+, you also get an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC (market dependent).
In India, the A50 goes for an equivalent of about $330, but the phone could arrive in the U.S. priced in the regions of $400 or maybe more.
