Oplus XonPad7 Android tablet launched in India for Rs 9,990

Oplus has launched the XonPad7 tablet in partnership with online retail store Snapdeal in India. The voice calling tablet is priced for Rs 9,990.
  • The XonPad7 comes with a 7-inch a 1280×800 pixel display.
  • It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor paired with 1GB of RAM
  •  16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a microSD card.
  • The tablet sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel front camera. 
  • Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/A-GPS.



Users will get the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean flavor on the tablet and there is no information if the tablet will support OTA updates later.
With all these features, this tablet will be up against the likes of Xolo Play Tab which dons a 7-inch display and is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 processor but is relatively costlier at Rs 12,999. Other alternatives include Google Nexus 7 (2012 edition) which too comes with a similar display, however boasts stock Android on board. The Google Nexus 7 can be purchased for approximately Rs 9,999 online.
